Northdale Manor hosts several fundraising events throughout the year to enhance the lives of both residents and staff. As Northdale Manor is not government funded, and all costs are paid for through resident fees, any extras are provided through these fundraising initiatives.
One of these events is the Hearty Temiskaming Lunch, held every spring. This event provides lunches to 1500 local businesspeople, and community members - utilizing as much locally sourced product as possible. This bag lunch has become a hit and sells out very quickly every year.
In the fall, a Christmas-themed Auction is held. This auction boasts both a silent and live auction, as well as attendance prizes. Several local businesses and many community members generously donate auction items towards the event. The proceeds from these events have gone towards purchasing items such as the emergency generator, the scooter/storage building, and gazebo, as well as garden landscaping at Northdale Manor.
Other special fundraising events go to support resident activities and Resident’s Council. These events include the Annual Christmas Bazaar, Strawberry Tea & Social, and the Fall Fair Loonie Raffle.
